Best Crypto Pump Detector in 2026

Published April 7, 2026 — EventLogik Team

Pumps in crypto futures happen fast. A contract goes from doing nothing to moving 5% in ninety seconds and by the time you notice on your chart it is already halfway done. The traders who consistently catch these moves are not faster than you. They have a system that detects the pump for them before they even look at a chart.

I have been running pump detection scanners on EventLogik for months now and the difference between catching a move early and chasing it late is the difference between a profitable day and a frustrating one. The platform has an entire category of presets dedicated to pump detection plus the raw metrics to build your own. Let me walk through all of it.

What Makes a Pump Detectable

A pump is not just a price increase. Lots of things go up slowly over hours. A pump is a sudden acceleration in price driven by a surge in volume, often accompanied by rapid open interest growth and aggressive market buying visible in the CVD. Each of these components is measurable and each one shows up in EventLogik as a scannable field.

The key is speed. Pump detection is useless if it tells you about a move after it already happened. You need 1 minute and 5 minute data processed across every contract simultaneously and pushed to you the moment the conditions align. That is what the Pump Catcher presets and Fast Breakout presets are built for.

The 7 Pump Catcher Presets

EventLogik has seven dedicated Pump Catcher presets. Each one targets a different type of pump with different confirmation logic.

Early Breakout 5m catches the initial push using 5 minute price acceleration combined with volume expansion. This fires early which means more false positives but it also means you see the move before most people do.

OI+Vol Explosion requires both open interest and volume to spike simultaneously. When new positions are opening and volume is surging at the same time, real money is driving the move. This is one of the highest conviction pump signals because it filters out low participation spikes.

Multi TF Pump checks for price movement alignment across multiple timeframes. A pump showing on the 1m, 5m, and 15m simultaneously is more likely to sustain than one that only appears on the 1m.

Volatility Eruption triggers when volatility spikes beyond its recent range. Useful for catching the beginning of a move when the market transitions from calm to chaotic.

Scam Pump is specifically designed to detect artificial or low quality pumps. These are the moves driven by thin order books and no real participation behind them. The conditions filter for price movement without proportional volume or OI support. You can use this to know what to avoid or to trade the inevitable dump that follows.

OI+CVD Pump combines open interest growth with positive CVD (cumulative volume delta). Rising OI means new positions. Positive CVD means aggressive buying. Together they indicate that leveraged traders are actively piling into longs which is the fuel that drives the most explosive pumps.

Multi Factor Pump is the strictest of all seven. It requires price acceleration, volume surge, OI growth, and structural change to all align. This fires the least often but when it fires the conviction is high.

Basic Alerts: Pump Alert and Dump Alert

Beyond the Pump Catcher presets there are two basic alert presets that cast a wider net. Pump Alert fires on any contract showing a rapid price increase beyond a threshold. Dump Alert fires on sharp declines. These are simpler triggers with fewer conditions but they are useful as a first layer of awareness. I run the Dump Alert with Telegram notifications so I know when something is crashing even if I am not at the screen.

Fast Breakout Presets

The Fast Breakout category has four presets designed for sub minute and 1 minute detection. These are even faster than the Pump Catchers and are built for scalpers who need to react in seconds.

1m Early Eruption fires on the first sign of unusual 1 minute activity. Price change, volume, and acceleration all on the 1m timeframe.

Fast Breakout looks for quick range expansion on the 1 minute chart with volume confirmation. The move is already underway but still early enough to catch the middle portion.

Momentum Breakout requires trend confirmation alongside the breakout so the move is more likely to continue rather than immediately reverse.

Volume Spike is the simplest of the four. It fires purely on a relative volume explosion on the 1m candle. Massive volume means something is happening and you need to look at it now.

Acceleration Metrics: Acc Chg 5m and Acc Vol 5m %

Two fields that I always include on my pump detection scanners are Acc Chg 5m and Acc Vol 5m %. Acc Chg 5m measures the acceleration of price change over the 5 minute window. It is not just how much price moved but whether the speed of the move is increasing. A constant 0.5% per minute is one thing. Accelerating from 0.1% to 0.5% to 1.2% per minute is something entirely different. The second pattern is what pumps look like.

Acc Vol 5m % does the same thing for volume. It tells you whether volume is accelerating over the 5 minute window. Rising volume acceleration combined with rising price acceleration is the fingerprint of a pump in its early stages. By the time these numbers peak the move is usually well underway but the scanner catches the ramp up phase not the peak.

rVol for Volume Confirmation

Relative volume (rVol) compares current volume to the rolling average. An rVol of 3.0 means volume is three times its normal level. For pump detection I set rVol greater than 2.0 as a baseline condition. Without abnormal volume a price spike is suspicious. With abnormal volume it is a legitimate event worth investigating.

The combination of high rVol with positive Acc Chg 5m gives you a two factor pump filter that catches the vast majority of real moves while filtering out the low volume noise spikes that happen constantly on low cap contracts.

Detecting Pumps in Seconds

The entire point of pump detection is speed. EventLogik processes data across all 500 plus contracts every second. When a pump starts on contract number 347 in your list and you are looking at contract number 12 the scanner catches it instantly. Your phone buzzes with a Telegram alert, the Event Monitor shows the trigger with a color coded label, and you can have the chart open within five seconds of the move beginning.

I have caught moves on contracts like TRB, ORDI, and WLD that went 8 to 12% in under ten minutes. Without the scanner I would not have even known these contracts existed in my watchlist. The pump scanner turned them from invisible to front and center at exactly the right moment.

Avoiding Scam Pumps

Not every pump is worth trading. Some are thin book spikes that reverse instantly. Some are manipulation events designed to liquidate shorts before dumping. The Scam Pump preset helps identify these by looking for price movement without proportional volume or open interest support. When the Scam Pump scanner fires you know to stay away or to look for a short entry once the pump stalls.

You can also use the liquidation tracker data in combination with pump detection to see whether a pump is being fueled by liquidation cascades rather than organic buying. Liquidation driven pumps tend to reverse once the liquidation cluster is exhausted.

Catch pumps before they finish. EventLogik gives you 7 Pump Catcher presets, 4 Fast Breakout presets, basic pump and dump alerts, and acceleration metrics across every futures contract. Plans start at $24.99/week with annual pricing at $40/month. Pay with crypto for an extra 6% off.
